Server space is Cyber Real Estate. Once your web site is designed, the resulting html files need a
place to reside "out there" on the web so that the public can view them. These hosting servers are simply computers that connect to the internet 24 hours a day, 7 days a week over high-speed
lines, thus continually "broadcasting" any web sites that may be stored on them.
How much does it cost?
Pricing and options vary greatly. Look around and you'll see that fees range anywhere from $0 for
"free" hosting (with annoying banner or pop-up ads) to $50-$75 per month for basic hosting.
